HOLY CRAP!! (yeah that was what I said when I saw it for the first time).. it once again goes to show that this man is a GENIUS!. a friggin hard faced, gruff spirited genius :) and that's why I think he's cool. not to be stereotyped as always.. he's got lots of cool new stuff in th works but I thought pictures speak louder than words..

my thanks also to the gentleman Mr. Brad Duncan for teaching him how to make folders.. You are a gracious, generous and kind man.. and I feel Mr. MIke couldnt have foudn a better, liek minded, liek styled teacher :) don't you agree?!?! i dunno about you but I'm excited.

WOW!! A Mike Snody folder. This is HOT news!! Thanks for sharing, SB! Looks like a winner, fantastic grind, ergonomic, etc. Can you or Mike give us some more spec's? LEFTY MODELS?? (Just do everything backwards, Mike, how hard can that be?);) We want the whole story behind this one. (BTW, fantastic background!!....Size L for me.....):D
 
Great folder!
Considering Mike's talent, it was just a matter oftime until his folders start showing up.
And with a good teacher like Brad Duncan, whose work I was able to appreciate at this year's Blade Show, the result couldn't be less than what it is.
 
Hi there,

The knife is very slick.This is Mikes Design and we worked together to turn it into what it is now.A collaboration if you will.

On my way to the New York Custom Knife Show a few weeks ago.(Driving)
I made my way by Mikes house.I didn't have much time and I was running late as it was. When I got to Mikes I walked around to the shop behind his house it was like Dejavue.The same loud music from the same band I listen to very often.
When I walked into the shop I was in Grinder Heaven.Mike has the Grinder Shop from Hell.
Any way I only had about 8 hours to go over every aspect of making a folder. 10 hours later and after missing my dinner date with my wife we had what i like to call a folder.
That is all the help i gave him.He is very smart and would have made folders some day any way. I am glad to help him with that feet.

Mike has Talent and he understood everything i showed him. It was not that big of deal to show him.

I learned a few things in the time we spent together.
It was fun and I would do it again.

Just want to add a couple of more pictures of these knives. I really like the slim handle as I find that I tend to get a better grip. I am also proud to say that I had a part in the original idea for the blade of this knife.

NC Blades you son of a gun! You got to go to the Snody's and fondle the new folder and eroder? Who do you have to
kill to get in with the Snody's like that? Sniperboy are you taking any
jobs right now?

I called over to the Snodyland and talked to Michelle today. She's very cool and funny too, but she did
seem to want to get off of the phone when I started to grill her, maybe it was because she could not give me any definite answers on anything I asked her about. :)

She could not tell me when either of the new designs would be available
or when Mike would start taking orders again. I saw more grinders on

Is there a
secret code I need to know to get special invites to Snodyland? Gee
Wiz I have a hard time just getting a hold of Mike on email and your
over there playing in his shop!

Sniperboy, Michelle did tell me that you designed the shirts in the
background of the folders. Rock On Dude.
Someone keep us posted when you hear of available Snodys. Thanks for

Just in case you get asked in the "who wanna be a millionaire show" the Negotiator is 10.25" overall D2 or CPM 3v steel. .083"titanium..

btw thanks for the compliments on he shirts.. I cried PINTS AND PINTS of TEARS when Mr. MIke asked me to draw it... oh da passion.

I dunon about you guys but no matter how fast you fly I will drive to TAD the moment it arrives there :)

Sniperboy, please don't get into details of retail availability (as in which shop is selling 'em) on the custom forum. Minor issue in this case, but just trying to nip future situations in the bud. Trust me, there are reasons. ;) Thanks.
 
DerekZ I guess I am just a lucky person that lives about 10 minutes from Mike. I go over every once in awhile and check up on him and see what he has come up with lately. I wish I had took my camera because he had a new grinder that looked awesome. A while back when I picked up my Compadre from Mike I took alot of pics of him finishing it up. I'll try to find the pics and post them here.

Brad, I know the music you are talking about. Everytime I have been to his shop I can hear the music when I pull in the driveway. Mike listens to some great music! Thanks for helping Mike make those awesome folders. I will have one very soon :D

Sniperboy, thanks for designing the shirts. They are so cool!

Mike and Michelle are the friendliest people ever. I feel honored to have them as friends.

So this is where the goodies are now. I went to the custom forum and nearly fell asleep. Friggin Unbelievable Mike! Slick Blade Design. Michelle is great to talk to and she has always been very helpful to us. Maybe there were no answers to your questions Derek and you just didn't get the hint.;) Awesome Folder Mike!
