I picked both of these up this week, just can't get over how sweet they are. I know benchmade has a lot of new stuff coming out this year put the prices are ^^^^^. Both of these knives feel like semi-customs to me with the g-10 and good steel. I paid $75.00 for the b.c. and $89.00 for the volli both were n.i.b. and could not be happier. I know we have talked about these two before but I would like your thoughts.

I did sand down bone collector so it does not ruin my jeans

I had a Volli a while back and I have to say it was a really nice knife. For the price and the materials you get it is a hard bargain to pass up. I ended up selling mine because I am not that interested in an assisted opener.

Holo - How did you sand yours down? Just hand hold some sandpaper and work it over? And what grit?

I've a mini BC too and the g10 is a bit rough but I've been hesitant to work on it for fear I'll ugly it up if I don't get it right. I assuming just a little bit of sanding is all that's needed.

The BC knives are a great value for what you get. Hate to hear they're being discontinued, or remodeled. Whichever.

I love the volli! I got both satin and black versions. I de-assisted the satin one ; it is awesome! Silky smooth

I'm happy with my Volli just as is. It's been in my pocket(s) for weeks without a break and gets used everywhere. Compared to my 585-1 (nice knife) this is a much better fit for my hands. A large part of it are the sculpted G-10 scales and great S30V blade, very comfortable to hold and slim enough to carry a LOT.

On sanding G-10, easily done, (and Micarta, and Carbon Fiber), I would urge caution. The fibers that get in the air and into our lungs are dangerous to our health. A 3M cartridge-type respirator, (with fresh cartridges and pre-filters), along with plenty of fresh air should be required. Don't trust a simple particle mask please, it's not good enough.
