Hey guys I'm new to this site.I would like to get your help on a decision on a purchase.I can get a jimmy lile "the mission" knife for 1550.00.Is this a good deal?The knife is a post death knife I learned because of the dot above the lile.The knife was on e-bay and now he wants a money order sent to him.What do you guys think?Thanks so much for your help.

espescially since Mr. Lile died and a new Rambo movie is comming out soon
I have seen them go for up to $2500 but it depends on the coating and size of the blade

the knife was on ebay a few days ago.It has the d-2 steel and polished edges.It also has lile business cards and paper work.It looks great and I just started collecting knives a few years ago.I got a couple striders,laconico,andbuck 184.My main concern is should I wait and get a mission knife without the dot?

I don't think it's a matter of no one wanting to help. Collecting, especially custom knives, is a specialized hobby. It's not like there's a book on knife values available. A knife is worth what similar knives are selling for, and not all of us participate in that kind of collecting. You might have better luck on our Custom & Handmade Knives forum.
