I had one. It's a very nice little folder, but it was too small for my taste so I ended up trading it. The locking mechanism is what sets it apart from other Benchmades and is designed by none other than the Axis lock creators themselves, McHenry & Williams. Personally, I would like to have seen a larger model, perhaps a 2.5 or 3 inch blade.
I can tell you that the locking mechanism is very secure with no blade play at all. Because it locks in the closed position, thumb studs for one hand opening are useless, unless you loosen the pivot enough to hold the lock down and flick it open. If Benchmade ever decides on a larger knife with the mechanism, I can see the possibility of an auto opening model.
