The Moby Dick Among Traditional Pocket Knives: GEC Northfield UN-X-LD Whaler

You have the best reviews on youtube! And the whaler is probably the coolest slipjoint pattern overall.

Wonderful review. I could listen to you speak for hours.

Thank you for this nice review; I just subscribed to your channel

The author of the "Collecting Case Knives - Identification and Price Guide" believes the Sunfish pattern became popular among the workers of the oil fields of Pennsylvania, being a heavy duty "work" knife useful for cutting heavy hemp ropes used at the time. He adds this would explain why this pattern was produced only by cutlery firms located in the Pennsylvania and New York area, within the proximity of the early oil industry.

Great review! Fantastic job. One of the best I've seen on Bladeforums. I'm not even into traditional cutlery yet, but I watched your review from start to finish.

Thank you, but I'm afraid you would pick up my German accent. ;-)

Stefan

Your accent actually adds a nice touch to the review.

Exceptionally well crafted review.

I agree with others, the best youtube review I have ever viewed.
