I just got this book the other day The Modern Hunter-Gatherer after seeing a post by Ethan Becker in the Becker forums. It is by Tony Nester a friend of Ethan's. It gives some good basic ideas and tips for hunting, and gathering, trapping, and be able to have food to eat while living off the land or in a survival situation. There is a lot of pictures that show good detail. You can read the whole book in an afternoon but it is a good one that can be gone back to time and time again. It also gives resources for supplies, other reading,and where to learn more. For $16.95 I think it is worth having on the shelves. Doug

Thanks for the Book review Doug. Looks like an interesting read. Does it go into edible plants in much detail?

It does cover some does not have much in the way of pictures on the plants. But it does cover some basic ones and how to use them. Doug

That is just it there is no book tha is just perfect for it all lol. that is why most of have libaries lol. I love learning about survival and camping stuff lol
