well, I got a basic large 21 not too long ago (beginning of august) and when i got it, I wasnt completely sold on it.

the more I use it, the more I like it. When i got it, I was sold on the titanium, but not on the blade shape (I liked it, but didn't love it). well, the more I use it, the more I love the blade shape.

did anyone else have this happen to them?

When I got my first Sebenza, a large, back in 1993, I kept finding myself surprised at how well the blade functioned in a variety of vastly different tasks. Food prep, dressing out big game, hard use on the job, picking out splinters... Not the best shape for any one of those uses by any means, but it's just amazing how versatile that design is. I prefer the older blade shapes to the 21, mostly for aesthetics. Functionally they are pretty similar.

I am of pretty much of the same opinion but instead of the blade I wasn't sure I would like the handle. Now that I have had ample time to use my small Sebenza I have become quite fond of it. Mine is one of the Wilson Starbenza models and the radial grooves really help me get some traction on the handle.

The thread title sums up my CRK experience. The more I use them the more I like them. They seem to grow on you and I get the feeling that an old friend is joining me when I put one in my pocket. The more weathering the Ti gets the more it feels like an old and reliable buddy.

the more I use it, the more I like the look too. my scales now look a bit worn (lots of scratches lol), but the longer I carry it, the more even the scratches get on the entire thing, it makes it look better. the only complaint I have on it is there is no protection from coins for the edge when closed. I noticed it when I had to drop mine into my pocket deep carry and pulled coins out of it lol. I carry with a pocket clip, so it doesn't really matter though. this knife made it to the top as my favorite very quickly

now I need another

I was super bummed when CRK discontinued the "Regular" Sebenza. I never really liked the looks of any part of the Classic or the 21. I bought one just on trust, principal and to form my own opinion. It didn't take long to understand. The 21s handle feels way better in the hand and the blade is absolutely the handiest shape of pretty much any knife I've owned. Now, somehow the plain 21 is the most attractive of all Sebenzas to date IMO. Although we're in for a curveball with the new 25! Classic/21ish with a Reg Seb shaped blade? We'll see!

I've said before that to really appreciate a Seb you need to carry and use it for a while and then you have to break it down and reassemble her. Then you will undestand what all the hoopla is about:thumbup: I'm having the hardest time trying to figure out what CRK I might have to let go in order to fund my 25:eek: I've been trying to think of every way possible to come up with the money another way, I think I may have grown to attached to my CRK's to part with one:confused:
