Here is another heart breaker. This is an 18 inch Gelbu Special done by Bura, silver mounted, twin eye of the dove cho, beautifully carved handle, excellent fullered karda, good chakma, superfrog, good scabbard, fit and finish about 11 out of 10. This blade is not marked but the cho, fit and finish is a giveaway that the khukuri was made by Bura or at least mostly by Bura. He did not carve the handle, the Newari boy who lives near BirGorkha did that.
The only problem with this khukuri is a very slight crack that appeared on the handle. Vikash repaired it with very good results.
This khukuri was a special order for a very particular collector who would not be happy unless the rig was 100% perfect. The almost invisible crack makes it only 99% perfect.
So, if anybody wants a true collector quality rig with an invisible crack in the handle for $175 delivered to your door then call or email.
