On Friday I go off to join a tribute to my dad, his life and his music. He mostly did musical comedy stuff for shows that he produced at Caltech, but there are at least a couple sentimental songs that I don't think I could choke out on stage. I particularly liked one phrase, "lovers will laugh and leave again, but laughter and love remain". When you lose someone it is good to remember.

If you like that type in rpoland in the youtube search. He's the user who owns Candyrat Records and post a TON of incredible songs.

My other favorites from candyrat/rpoland are:
Antione Dufour ("technician" doesn't do him justice)
Peter Ciluzzi (SO much "feel" to his stuff...not quite as complex as McKee or Dufour)

Mckee probably does have the 'catchy-ess' melodies though.
