I was at harbor freight a couple of weeks ago and they had this electric fly swatter on sale for $2.99 I bought one what the heck! It looks like a smaller than regulation yellow plastic tennis racket. Man what fun! If you hate bugs like I hate bugs this is for you!

Now I sit on my deck in the evening and when a fly buzzes by I push the button and take a swing. If you hit the vermin you are rewarded with a spark and a loud satisfying snap.

There is a warning sticker not to touch the metal grid when the button is pushed, There is a good reason for this, It smarts!

I don't know if I could resist touching it, I'd really have to try it atleast once. Ofcourse after sissing out a dozen times befor eI actually touch it.

I was just at my Harbor Freight last Sunday and saw those on sale. I had it in my basket and then changed my mind; I end up always coming out of that store with things I don't need and an empty wallet.

Resist touching it? How do you think I know it hurts? It was the first thing I did after I put the batteries in!

When you push the button it makes that high pitch wine a camera flash makes, So I knew I was in for some pain.

Had one of these in my cabin at a camp couple of years ago. Dealt with disciplinary problems very handily.

I am so going to Hell...

ROFL........

My brother in law hates flies - we gave him one for his birthday and it was without doubt his favourite gift that day and for weeks afterwards. We all tried touching it of course, including my sister-in-law who once tried the dog's anti-bark collar on herself. Something she didn't try for a second time!

We gave one of these to my mother last summer. She is very afraid of almost any kind of bug.
Now she seems really dissapointed, when there are no flies or anything buzzing around in the room. :)

Hey guys....

Yaa these things are the Cat's Ass...
We've been having a hoot with ours for the last couple of weeks..

It tears up flying insects including wasps, nearly instantly...

I want to Turbo Charge one of them,, but the electronics are a little much for me,, so if anyone knows how to supercharge one,,that would be Awesome...

As far as chasing the kids around with one...

Glad I'm not the only one..:)

BTW,, it also works well on Wives.. (She's learning to punch and Kick Really well!!! :) )

ttyle

Eric...

These seem especially popular in countries with bigger bug annoyances than the US. A few years ago I took a trip to Japan and Taiwan (tropical climates in the summer = lots of bugs) and mosquitos viewed me as an imported delicacy. When I stayed at a church in Taiwan, one of these was on the nighttable in the hospitality room. It was quite cathartic to nail one of those suckers (by the that time on the trip, I had gotten pretty damn good at snatching bugs out of the air with my hands, so my aim was good) and then see them smoke for a bit before releasing the button. And yes, they do hurt though I no longer remember if I know this from touching it myself (likely) or using it as motivation for some of the lazier kids traveling with me to get out of bed (extremely likely) . . .

Now I have to figure out where to get one. I have no idea where a Harbor Freight is either. Damn you all!
