Hey Guys

What is the coolest thing you ever done with your Busse Knives? Cut a car in half, take out an army, clear a forrest, you know the usual:p

Keep It Sharp,

Chris Bowles

P.S. I like the textured handles jerry. A guy would have to take your arm off before the knife would slip out of your hands

Some guys on my crew has pried open the door of some Japanese import with my Desert Warfare Meanstreet. I used the same knife to pry open a sewer lid.(Just wanted to look down in it).

I've done horribly destructive things to a steel heart before. I will say that that knife will never fail you.

Busse Combat Knives will stick in ashpalt if thrown. (Dont ask)

I've used a 48oz Plumb as a baton several times...
Ever get a knife stuck when batoning it through a log with a stick? Not with a 3lb hammer, you won't:D

If you go to whaling on it, and don't hit the spine flat, it adds character to the knife.
See the ding in the spine?
That's character;)

I sliced through a few nails with my BM when removing a redwood deck out in back. The edge got rolled a little, so I sent it back to Busse. It came back to me in a week or so shaving sharp...with a penetrator tip to boot (I asked for the tip to be made pointier)! There was no charge for this service and Mr. Busse was kind enough to call me, tell me the blade was on its way, and shoot the bull for about a half hour. In short, the service was OUTSTANDING in every regard.

If you guys have any photo's it would be so cool to see them in
the beater photo gallery

The most radical thing I ever did with a Busse knife is chop on some concrete with my basic 9. I was trying to cut and pry a fencepost out of the ground... I was chopping for about 10 minutes and nothing was happening so I decided to take a look. I had been chopping into the concrete holding the fencepost in place! I looked at the edge expecting the worst, and was pleasantly surprized! It had a few chips and dings, but they were easily sharpened out. It was way less damage than I expected. I have to admit though, when I saw that I had been chopping into pure concrete I just about $hit a brick. I was really concerned that the edge would be ruined. Needless to say, it wasn't - that's why Busses rock!

My basic 9 has seen way more action than that though. It has cut down about a gazillion trees, cut up steaks, cut open lots of packages, chopped coconuts in half, cut up old refrigerators, chopped up old cars, pried crates and pallets apart, totally destroyed some older pieces of furniture, hammered nails with the spine, cut firewood and tinder, and shaved the sharp edges off of my kids' bed frame. I have only gave it a good sharpening once. Most of the time it just needs steeling and stropping. If I used it really hard maybe a couple of strokes on a ceramic rod and she's good to go! That one time it really needed sharpening was when I chopped on the concrete!

My Basic 9 has been through hell and it just looks better to me. It's beauty lies in knowing that I can depend on it. It is scuffed, scratched, silent and deadly!

Sometimes I'll take few of my safe-queen Busses out and place them near the computer monitor so they can see that pic of Cliff Stamp's Basic #7. My knives all start panting and pulling on their leashes trying to either get closer to the screen or making a move out the door. INFI is weird, weird stuff.;)

My wife's ObGYN and I thought it would be cool to cut the umbilical cord of our latest (fourth) child with the Behemoth. We broached the subject with my wife.

I have never, ever, heard a more elaborate, intricatly woven thread of pofanities launch from anyones mouth in my life.

Uncle Screwtape - you are one courageous guy for contemplating - and suggesting that.

Hey, have you ever heard of an episiotemy ? Perhaps you should suggest that using the Behemoth ? :D

I split some kindling off of a block of wood by pounding my SH through with another chunk of wood. It worked quite well and it was seasoned hard maple, and the knife was still verrry sharp when I was done. I've had the knife almost 2 years and the only other chopping I've done with it was to break a whitetails pelvis. The knife has never been sharpened and its still ready to go. Infi is really amazing stuff.:)

That's it? That's the most radical things you guys have done with a Busse? Where are the airplane escape stories? The burning building baby rescues? The silent sentry throat slits? The EMT "cut an F150 open" stories?

Seems like the only people really using\testing their Busse Knives are Mr. Busse and Cliff Stamp!

Come on let's hear some REAL practical RADICAL accounts!!!

You guys are trying to sell me a Busse here, so make 'em good. I could do any of the above listed stuff with my Ginsu knife!

:D
