Shown is the 25.5 inch MamaBura Sirupati. We have an interest in a 30 inch version. Here are my estimated specs.

Length -- 30 inches give or take a half.
Blade thickness -- 1/2 to 9/16
Blade width -- 1.75 to 2.0
weight 2.25 to 2.5 pounds.

It will look exactly like the Sirupati above, handle and all.

If you have an interest in this 30 incher sign on below, via email, snail mail or phone. It's a go. Now all I have to do is supply Gelbu with how many to make.

Uncle Bill,

Log me for one 30 inch MamaBura, please.

With regard to the weight, you do mean 2.5 pounds for the upper limit, not 25 pounds, right?

Also, what pricing would we be looking at?

Harry

Uncle,
Don't do this to me! You know that I like the sirupati. At least give me time to mop up the drool after I see the 25". Speaking of, my little katas kagnes all seem to have very different personalities. Though all look similar in their sheaths, side by side, when handled and examined they are quite different ,indeed. The one that made me me say aha!is perhaps 1/4" longer than the rest(blade) and is very sirupati like in appearance and feel. At the other extreme is one that could be a miniature of my 20"AK in every way.Another seems to have the tip profile of a BAS. Maybe there is room here to consider a boxed set of "deluxe" KK's of distinct blade profiles. Another possibility, considering the slick edges, is to go totally serious and come up with a deluxe KK pattern with a deep American style hollow grind that is housed in a kydex sheath with an EZE-Lap steel. That kind of combo seems to be the one that actually gets into glove boxes and ruck sacks around here.
As always,thanks
Leo

Hi Leo:

Thanks for feedback. No two knives are the same. Close and almost but no cigar. That is the nature of handcrafted items.

The little kagas katnes turned out to be a real hit. Gelbu tells me he is certain he will get all delivered in time for Christmas.
