The move to CivPac is on!!

As most of the supspects and suspects in training know, I am in the midst of transition from full time active duty Navy (as well as full time BF, KF, TF moderator/part time Emerson "field rep") to the civillian world. The beard is already growing as you that will see me at the SHOT show can attest to.

I will be moving in to the Emerson shop full time starting Monday, Jan 8th. I will be wearing a lot of hats there but will be able to be much more diligent in my care of the forums.

I want to take this time to let you all know that I will be almost unreachable for the next several days. The computer is going inot a box for the move and I will not even see what is going on until next Monday I suspect.

No real need to say it but PLAY NICE WHILE I AM GONE!! I know that the suspects can answer all of your questions and keep the peace. In the unlikely event that it is necessary, john Hollister is hereby appointed official interim moderator.

I will talk to all of you soon.

I think John's promotion should include keys to the Emerson Shop! Just think of all the various Commander projects he could get out to us within 24 Hrs!

There would suddenly be a virtual flood of Commanders available!

Yes, the Emerson Forum is safe and secure with Hollister on point. Congrats, John. And good luck to you, Derek. I hope that your readjustment to civ-life goes off without a hitch. EKI will be a better place with you there fulltime.

I'm thinking you possibly mis-read a post about the move. For the life of me I can't see Derek moving to N.Y. city. I believe he's moving from San Diego closer to the Emerson Factory and adjusting to civilian life and happily getting knives out to those of us who request them!

Let me chime in . . . Derek is moving north, but it's only to the Torrence (CA) area.

He's leaving "our" employ and upgrading to full time with EKI.

Allow me Liong. AncientSUL meant that while at the NYC Custom Knife show that Ernie informed him that Derek was going to work for EKI full time.
