Wow!!!

My Movie Model arrived today from Tuesday’s offerings (so fast!) and I am beyond awed. Uncle Bill said that this creation by Bura was perfect, but he understated this! It is flawless in workmanship, design and handling, and is definitely my personal UBBB.

The Movie Model is truly wonderful. How can Bura take a piece of steel and create something so alive? This knife literally dances in the hand, and feels half its weight. It has replaced my Bura WWII as the best handling khukuri I have the privilege to own, being my 12th khukuri from Uncle Bill since the late, great Don Nelson led me to Cantina last October.

If any more of these show up in the latest batch of terrific offerings don’t pass it up! If you are looking for a large, nimble blade I’m sure you will be as happy with the Movie Model as I am!

Cheers!

Geoffrey

Great first impressions! That's what I like to hear!:)

I just can't personally get ready for the movie model though. I do love the BDCs though.
I get so confused over some of the newer models, I may be talking about the same khuk and not know it. :grumpy: :D ;)

Reminds me of a longer UBE, and if it's balanced anything like those you have got a winner.

Good snag! and I'm glad you like it. I'm hoping to get one some day.

Regards,

Norm

I have one, I keep it out on display, wonderful piece.

A smaller version would make a great fighter when the upward curve of the blade is sharp, it just adds a few more posibilities to the mix.

It's a wonderful blade. Be careful when resheathing it. The upswept tip pokes through the scabbard if you're not careful.

All on my wish list!

My first official act was to slice my sheath in twain with my movie model.

I like it very much. The blade balances well and swings hard. It will cut wood.

It is in the same family as the UBE, which I also like very much.

Hi Guys
Picked up a Movie Model a few months ago from the For Sale list, scary sharp and light. Just want to cut and thrust at something every time I pick it up. The sheath is a real pain though. I wish there was a better option.

You have a wish list Steve?

Half the stuff in your collection is on my wish list.....:(

Options?

Kydex...that melty stuff, and

what would be MY first choice:

TheBruiseLeeeCardboardSheathyThing, sold in mutiples of 20, on a roll. Just use, dispose, and tear off a new one. :D

The man's a genius, I tell you.

Terry Cisco's quickdraw sheath was made for khuks like the UBE and Movie Model. I had him make one for my UBE, and it takes care of all of the problems with the tip. Don't know if he's still making them. Haven't heard from him in a while.
