Jules had the biopsy on Thurs of the tumor they found by the pancreas. They used a proceedure called EUS. It's an endiscope with an unltrasound camera on it, pretty sophistacted. They now know it's NOT in the pancreas, the tumor is behind it and at the middle/top. It's called a Stromal Tumor "GIST" for short. They also did a biopsy of it.

We were hoping to have the results last Friday. So hopefully the call will come thru tomorrow with positive news. And then he can start the treatment for the thyroid cancer. The more time that goes by without the treatment, well.... you know how that goes.

Either way, the tumor has to come out according to this specialist. So it looks like another surgery for my hubby.

Last night at 10pm he was HUNGRY!!!! He wanted the chicken soup from our local little diner. So off we went, they were just about closing, the owner knows us well, opened up for us so he could have TWO bowls!!! :D He told me he would have been contented with a can of soup, since I didn't have any homemade. I told him I would have flown to Australia if he wanted soup from there for him! I never thought I'd be so thrilled to see someone eat!

I am asking this morning, without him knowing, and surely he will "scold me" when he gets up and reads this, but we need "The Power of Prayer".

This very special man deserves to get well and be healthy to live a very long life with me and the kids. He deserves to walk our oldest daugther next fall down the asile, he deserves to see his sons grow into men, he deserves to be a grandfather. He deserves everything I can possibly give him in this world.

So if everyone can take just one second today and say a pray that all the news we receive is positive news, I would be eternally grateful.

Janie

Lots of prayers from me for Jules!!! And I am positive & healing thoughts for him too!! And a hug for you both.

Dr called, AFTER I have made repeated calls, that it is NOT a stromal tumor. They are saying it may be Lymphoma. I am hoping we get a call tomorrow with a definitive diagnosis.

He will have to have more surgery. We saw the surgeon today who did the thyroid surgery. He has a lymph node in the top of the chest that is 2.8cm. besides the one by the pancreas. Dr said it has to go. So I am going to talk to the dr AFTER we know what we are dealing with if they can remove the lymph node in the upper chest when they remove this mass.

We go to the endocrinologist next Tues to set up the treatment for the papillary cancer.

The positive is his blood work is GREAT. You would think if he had lymphoma something would be out of sync.

As soon as we know more I'll update.

Jules is doing his best to stay positive, we all are. He so cute when he looks at his new set of ivories, and I'm not referring to a piano ;)

What will REALLY tune him up is when his Nuclear Badge Attack arrives from Jerry!!!!!!

Prayer sent here! Jules gives so much back to this knife community, and we are all praying for him! Best of Luck!
Steven

Continued prayers and positive thoughts for you BOTH!!!! Thank you for the updates!!

Jules - I don't know you, but you've been on my list ever since I heard about your illness. Each day, I'm sending one up for you, Ken C.'s brother, G2's grandson, and a couple others in bladeland. I normally wouldn't talk about it, but it's encouraging to see you post every once in a while.

thx - cpr

I Don't Know You Either But Anyone Who Has A Wife That Devoted And Likes Knives Must Be A Hell Of A Guy....lol...prayers From Our Family To Yours.

Prayers sent as well, as always stay strong, just watched that video by Kenny Chesney
called Blink, touching and he really sang that song well, some of you may not enjoy
country music, but the telling of it is a true thing, our life is so short, if you blink, you'll
miss it, enjoy everything that you have and most don't realize all the gifts that they
really do have.

G2

edited to say, thanks CPR, appreciate the prayers for my grandson Carter, he's getting
more and more active, so our hopes are stronger that he will come through in good shape!
