The Native: A handy hog harvest blade

Scott recently finished The Native - one of our Primitive Series knives. Hand-forged out of CruforgeV, this blade has our hammer-marked Rustic finish and a Desert Ironwood burl handle with 1/16 inch nickle-silver pins.

Scott made the sheath as well. We put the knife to the test at our bi-annual hog harvest and it performed splendidly.

I love it. Looks like a great fighting blade. now only if it had a razor sharp clip and a hamon ;)

Thanks for all the kind words.

This knife was designed as a point and edge geometry test. I can tell you that it penetrates with ease and cuts very well also.

I was inspired by Kevin Kashen's words about testing truly tactical knives in his ABS video on quillon daggers. Pigs make nice test subjects and taste great too. I've learned that blunt points are worthless and pointy knives can serve many purposes.
 
Wow! I really liked...I picked one up..cant wait to see how this steel actually performs. Whats the thoughts on it so far.

I cant wait to see it for sure.
