Fellow CRK'ers...

There is a simple beauty to a Sebenza that has "earned" it's beauty marks and love bites. The snail trails as some call them are sort of like notches on the butt of a gun. While some beauty can be found on modified finishes, forced wear, anodization, scotch-briting, etc. I would raise my hand to vote for the natural beauty to be the winner of the pageant...

Post your "natural" beauties here...

I love snail trails too. My 25 looks just like this after 2 years of EDC. Never even had it apart as it has performed flawlessly since the day I bought it from KnifeArt. Edge still looks factory as its only ever seen sharpmaker ultra fine rods. The Sebenza, there is no folder any better....!!!

Mr. Nyefmaker... Pics please!!

Have you guys noticed the eraser shreds left after rubbing the titanium of a new beadblasted scale? Is that the layer of beadblast finish or is it dead skin and grease from fingertips? Probably a bit of both. I've experienced this early on on all beadblasted CRKs "Finish rubs." Am I alone on this one? I know it's not in my head.

Yes I've noticed the shreddies. Its just grease and oil from your hands rubbing off I believe.

I love the worn look of the Umnumzaan. It is carried in a pocket sheath, not so much with the 25.

I like em better that way too. My only problem is I bought my large 21 Micarta and carried it for a full year, before buying a few more that now share pocket time. My large 21 is the only one that really has a nice worn look it it. In a few decades they will all be this sweet!

Nice!

Artwork!

Everyday in the pocket for almost 2 years. Just got an Umnumzaan a couple weeks ago so it may share time with that from now on.

When I noticed my first snail trail on my Sebenza, I was beside myself! Now, after a year & a half of carrying it, I think its more beautiful now than ever!!!!
(sorry for the poor photos, but it is nice & worn)

Mr. Arthur. . .Very nice looking my friend. The Umnum will be just as beautiful I am sure.

Mr. Neiman. . . That wear looks very cool. I love how the edges of the slabs look almost "feathered."

You're definitely not alone. Same thing happens to me, rub the handle with my thumb and get those little "eraser shreds". I'm guessing it's the finish on the titanium sanding a little skin off... Like when chicks rub their feet with those stones to smooth them out. Weird analogy but that's what it makes me think of.
