Ever think to save up for some off-brand knife and realize that you already bought more than twice its cost in Himalayan Import khukuris in the meantime?

I've saved up for some custom knife purchases that were over $400 and then come here afterwards and get real excited when I see blems at 50% off........can't help myself. The same $400 gets you a heckuvalot more knife here though!

$465...! !

thought I was the greedy one?!?

:p

I would've spent less, but that's what it takes to convince Uncle Bill and Aunt Yangdu to send a parade of Ang Kholas (15" horn, 18" wood Chiruwa, 19" wood Garud) to the family homestead. I've only got 5 HI khuks (the other two are my kagas katne and bilton), an off-brand khukuri from some place called 'India' (ever hear of it?), and a surgical stainless khukuri-like chopper from Taiwan (it's way too cool!); so it's not like I'm being that greedy.

note that there is currently a berk special on the sale forums for an insanely low price

i think im going to have to buy a cheep saw at a garge sale and make me one of those saw hand tools.... cause i dont think i could afford the price tag just to get that one item    :D

Sounds like maybe you still need a 20" kobra to round things out, Thom.

Is a Kobra closer to a Sirupate or an Ang Khola? For some reason, I only like the chubbier khukuris.

Yeah, I trade fer other knives, but buy HI. I can't tell ya the last time I bought a blade from a dealer, other than HI. Sure, I've worked some trades or sales from individuals in the BF Exchange,,,

If anything, kobra slimmer than sirupate.
Not a khubby khuk.
