I posted this in the spyderco forum cause I did it with a spyde, just one of my edc knives. But anyway I was working on my snowmobile and cutting a piece of plastic and whammo!!! 4 hrs in the ER and 10 stiches, almost total nerve damage and a cut tendon. Supposed to see a surgeon about getting it fixed back up. Dont know if I'll make it there cause its 100% numb allready. just thought you guys would like the pics and I had to share it with my schrade buddys, cause on any other given sunday that would have been a schrade!!!- Joel

Make sure you get too a great surgeon...if you have to part with a few of your blades do it! You want to get an early start getting that finger and tendon fixed right. I will pray for you.

Ouch!! Knife wound that will be one day be part of your character scars like knife character scars from use. Hope it gets better soon.

let the doctors do all they can for you. you will regret it later if you don't give it a 100% shot at healing

Gradall,That sure is a doosey. If you had been using a schrade knife it would have severed that pinkey finger off for sure.So thank goodness it was a spydie.Confucious say "A man who has many knives will surely get cut".Heal quick and keep that wound clean.

Joel, i cannot see pics, just a red x, but i can say that a sharp blade gives a clean cut (no macerating or bruising of tissues) and a good plastic surgeon will enjoy fixing it all up. your chance of 100% recovery of tendon and nerve function is excellent, as long as surgery is done very soon ! like hopefully you are in the O.R. right now. if not, get it done now, any delay decreases chance of full recovery of function. roland (long time anesthesiologist)

Stuff like that seems to heal up pretty well, I had tendon sewn back on after some rough housing in scool went bad. Years later every thing is fine, but sinetimes when the weather changes I can tell.
