The need to finish pile pic

Do you have one of these? I either started and got distracted by starting another one, or just lost direction. I've got a pile of Knives on a stick in the shop stacked up. Man I need to like a month and just finish knives. Sounds like a good reason to take a month off this Spring. Maybe two.....
 
I've got probably a dozen HT'd blades been hanging on the nail in the shop since 1983, the last batch that Paul HT'd for me. Every once in awhile I get a hankering to finish one of em. Should be done about 2050....

Hey Brother Mark, there aint no worries over a pile like that. We all got 'em. If I make a knife andf its got just ONE flaw that I can't correct, it goes in the pile. Way I see it - its experience in that pile. Nothing wrong with it. If you lose interest in a piece, then it wasn't meant to be, bro.
 
Some nice ones in there! :) That ought to keep you out of mischief this winter.....;)

I always have a bunch of unfinished stuff lying around. I usually get to them eventually!

I really enjoy making the primal knives. you get more of a creative outlet when you aren't conforming to set standards.
 
Well I'm feeling pretty dang good about myself, I finished off my pile like that about a year ago - and haven't worked hard enough to build one back up again! heh heh :D

But Mark that pile sure is inspiring, I guess I'd better get some work done for a change... A couple months off the paying job does sound like a cure. ;)

Ask anybody who has ever seen my shop. I've got your pile beat, with a much bigger pile of unfinished blades. It seems that my "love to grind" gene is much larger than my "hand rub until your fingers hurt" gene is.
