the "needs work" is one good knife

a friend of mine who is the chief of police has been using my needs work for quite a few months now and it is still going strong. it was shaving sharp out of the box but i hit it a few times on my paper buffing wheel to make it scarry sharp. he would have brought me his previous edc to sharpen by now if he still carried it. i think he's sold on kershaw knives now and i might have trouble getting it back from him :D.
 
i wish it had tip up carry as ive gotten very used to that position. i could drill it, but its not something i wanna go at without guidance.
 
i might see if i can get mine back for a weekend to see how hard it would be to drill and tap new holes for the clip. i'll make a post if i do.
 
Another NEEDS WORK Fan - yes!

I love this knife - I have 2 versions - but I am dying to get some of the Snap-On versions of these knives but so far they've eluded me - here they are, aren't they gorgeous!

i need to find out of g 10 can be laser cut so i can make some new thinner scales for the needs work if it can be done. i need to get mine back like i said so i can get some measurements.

If I were you, I'd give up on getting the Needs Work back, and just get another one.:D.:D.
 
i'm going to tell him about the new tanto switchblade from kershaw. maybe he'll get one of them so i can check it out for a while since he has my needs work.
