So far as I know, no one knows the current location of Nessmuk's belt/sheath knife, or even if it still exists.
From what I have seen, all the production "Nessmuk" knives, and most, if not all custom made Nessmuk knives have a full flat tang with the scales riveted on.
But, if you look at the sketches of his knives and axe in his book, his belt/sheath knife has an antler handle.

To me, with that handle, the sketches look like his knife had a rat tail or stick tang, with the handle glued on. (horse glue was well known back then, and would work quite well to hold the handle on.)
What say you?
Based on the sketches, did his knife have a full flat tang with the scales rivited on, like the modern reproductions, or a stick/rat tail tang with the handle glued on?
Does it matter if the modern "Nessmuk" pattern knives use a different tang and handle consrtuction?
(Sorry. The only way I can show pictures of the sketches is the link to the search page.)
