I got the 5 for Christmas from my oldest he walks in and sees me sharpening the 17 and the 9. The 9 is in the sheath on the table he goes damn oh well here and hands me a box I open it and its a 5! I laugh and said the handles are the same and show him the 9 and his eyes light up :D

So of course I had to cut the Christmas ham, the way this blade feels it had me smiling all night so happy I got this one

Got the next two from gift certificates

My 3rd 11 fills the role of failsafe knife in my edc bag for commuting to nyc as its legal there as compared to my folders, go figure, it rides in the cc on the moab 10

The 16 I haven't made up my mind yet what to do with it, I'm thinking it would be great on my hiking pack's strap but then I noticed the sheath is very close in color to my vanquest bag and I'm kind of liking it on here

The 16 is still unused any suggestions on what I should do first with it? to show me where it really shines?

Good stuff man, congrats. I love the 5. It's an awesome blade. I need to get out and use it more.

I love to see people's collections grow with quality steel.

I need a few more 5s. After using one to butcher our deer I am a believer! The 16 is an awesome blade and the 11 is my favorite EDC blade ever.

You have the big players in the Becker line. Very well covered. The 11-9-5-16 is all you need.

The 16, are you planning to strip the coating? if you do, i suggest you to deepen the laser etching first, that way if you polish it, the logos stay there,IMO looks cool[emoji41]

I know how you feel about the 5. The first time I ever used it I had a grin on my face. The first time the wife used it she cut her thumb pad. We use the 5 the most out of any of my Beckers.

Congrats on the 5! The 16 is a great all-rounder.....carve some wood, make some feather sticks, make a trap, start a fire....it's a great companion for any of the big Beckers; mine rides piggyback with the King. I just picked up a nice, used 16 (with Micarta) to fool around with on the grinder. IIRC the 16 is Uncle E's favorite. Well, maybe not now after the RBK....

There's even more becker happiness than that, I should gather the family for a picture :D

I haven't stripped any of my beckers I kind of like watching that coating wear off with use

My wife seems wary of it but keeps asking me to cut stuff with it :D

 Congrats!
Thanks

The plan was to pair it on the front right strap of my hiking pack which has the 7 currently but I really am digging it on the pouch I made for backpacking, if I can figure out a good way to carry it now with the knife attached. I'm also thinking maybe get another condor water bottle pouch and mount the three of them together and get a strap, that could be a nice little walk off from camp kit but that takes up more pack space. who knows we'll see, that's half the fun

It's crazy how easy it slices

The originals were all but convexed. Slicey!

Polish/Fisk the KaBar one a little, and it's like a razor.

No wonder some special ops had their eyes on this
