The "New" Bk10?

Sorry if this has already been brought up..But it looks interesting:thumbup: Becker and Ritter Collaboration.

yeah we know ;)

it's not a BK10 by any means.

it's the BK12. no really! okay, not OFFICIALLY, but that's how it was introduced to us as a Camillus prototype and that's how it shall seem in my mind for all time.

do check the other posts, they're right over there -> and of course, the blade database...

holy crap, why is it more than double the cost of the bk2?

Don't get me wrong, Ka-Bar and Becker are by far my favorite knife companies since I have been a little kid (Ka-Bar when I was very young). But with that much I would try out an ESEE. I guess maybe because it is so new or a pre order and it will come down to $80 at least. It looks like a BK2 with a thumb ramp to me. If I had the money I'd get it though, it looks awesome. I just don't understand the price at all.

Did you read any of the history or any of the threads/websites before posting?

"Doug Ritter collaboration"
"Limited run"
"Rowen manufactured"
"Brass inserts for adjustable balance"

These are some of the notable reasons for the price difference.

because it's not a mass produced knife. it's neither a BK2 or a BK10.

it's a custom, limited 100 [sprint] run, with involved cost of tooling, start up, materials, more complicated design, etc etc etc.

i doubt very much it will come down to $80. if anything, the price will go up. especially as it's definitely a rare bird at the moment. heck, they may not make more than 100 - it would be great if they did - but they may not either.

i'd say, if you don't buy one now, you may not get one later.

or buy a BK2, or an ESEE ;)

might as well ask why an ESEE costs more than other knives.

might as well ask why Beckers cost more than other knives.

why ask why!

whyyyyyyy...
