The new BK15/16/17 Bushgnome sheath preview

Been playing with this design off and on for a bit but have it just about where I want now. Only thing I will be changing will be the eyelets to custom black eyelets I am having made currently for some of my new styles coming. Custom eyelets suck, I had to commit to ordering ten thousand of them to get them plated. :eek: Good on eyelets for a year.

This bushy style sheath is fun. Completely ambidextrous, straps/dangler are removable for lefty or rightys, and can be carried vertical or horizontal. The retention strap simply swivels around to the other side when switching carry positions. Pocket is removable and designed to hold a fallkniven dc4 diamond stone or the Lmt stone of the same size, 1x4". Or for the guys that happen to have an 11 or Izula, it will also fit in their quite nicely.

All that and it will work with any of the 3 tweeners too. :D

I've always been impressed by your sheaths! Your work is so precise. Do you hand cut your leather, or do you use a template and a press?

Thread color is cool too!

That depends really, if it is a pattern I use often which I expect I will with this one then I will send off for clicker dies to be made. Especially this one, trying to line up both sides and the welt for the slot punches + the eyelet holes so everything matches up when folded over takes a good amount of careful checking.

So I ordered a BK16 yesterday and thought I was done spending money for a while....guess I was wrong....damn, that sheath looks awesome.
 
That is friggin sweet. Definitely would be interested in getting one of those. Love the versatility in taking all of those blades..

I absolutely LOVE this design but I'll have to wait a while on getting one. So it goes on my needwant list for this fall.

No worries, It will be a couple weeks yet while I send off to have a couple dies made for this one. Plenty of time to suck up to the wife. I just buy mine a gift cert for the massage place, after an hour there I could invest in real estate on mars and she wouldn't care. :)
 
Covers all the bases and looks awesome.
You may need to place another eyelet order...

Does the 14/24 fit in the pouch, or just the 11/Izzy?
