The new Black Lightweight Manix 2

Was talking to a friend just now and he pointed out this video when i said I was wondering why the manix II lightweights were out of stock at amazon for so long. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Wx7TAUe2K4o&feature=youtu.be

This got me to wondering, it's great that spyderco can do new colors for the manix 2 lightweight, but will both colors be shipping side by side, or is the translucent blue going to "go away" in favor of the new black handles?

If I had to guess I'd guess they'll both be made, at least for a while. Especially since Eric seemed to suggest that other colors are now being considered. Beyond that, as with other variants, it will be a question of how each sells.

To me, the really intriguing thing in that video was Eric's comment that the solid black Manix 2 Lightweight would also have "a black carrier". Have to wonder if the "carrier" is the metal part which holds the spring and which Spyderco refers to as the "fixed anvil", or the polymer ball cage that's currently clear.
