They just arrived. :D

Man, very nice!!!

That was smart to get 2 of them! Others of us...weren't smart enough to even get one!

I'd sure be interested in a report after using them hard -- to see if the guard is useful, or if it gets in the way...

Great knives bro.

Great pics, Cleaner! CongRATs on your snag!!

:D

Very cool. Nice shot, too. It illustrates the grind well.

Congrats!

I can't wait for mine, they look GREAT. I've promised my sons a day BR choppin, until they're wore out...or blood flows:eek:

Thanks Guys - I think the guard does more then act as a guard but actually shifts the balance of the weight backwards towards the grips. Makes it feel like an entirely different knife. To me it actually feels lighter, due to this shift. Very Cool.

Great pic. Thanks for sharing it.

They actually may be a little lighter as well, especially if you received some of the one's that were full-flat ground vs the usual saber ground. I can't remember which one's you got but there may be an actual weight difference

:D:D

That sounds like the coolest day with dad, EVER!

(pics are a must. :D)

Eric, I noticed that comparing the BG to my older BR. My BG is full flat ground, and has a noticably different feel then my older BR (a saber grind) - much less blade heavy. Weights on mine are 15.2 oz & 15.7 for the BG and BR respectively, so the Battle Guard is a little bit lighter. The difference in balance make them feel like completely different knives. I really like the BG's feel - it feels much quicker in the hand.
