As Vietnam Tacticals and Field Grades have been arriving, we've been getting a GREAT response to the new coating, so I thought I would share a few pics here for the folks who haven't seen it yet and for those whose Hawks are still en route.
The new Black TexCoat ups the bar for us on corrosion resistance, wear resistance, and appearance.

This new coating also resists one of the most aggressive things that can be done to a Knife or Tomahawk's coating...THROWING.
...well after dozens and dozens of single spin, DEEP sticks, what resulted could be cleaned off with a rag and some WD-40.
ALL coatings will wear...most of the expensive coatings, and we use one of them, do NOT offer wear resistance in equal relationship to their price. Some of them are great, sure, but are they in some cases, 1000% greater? When they are 1000% more expensive, they should in my personal opinion.
In this case however, we improved the performance and chose NOT to pass on an increase to the customer. Sure, it costs us a little more to make it now...and it increases the time it takes for us to bring the VT to the marketplace. However, as ATC continues to reorganize and improve how it does business...how it manages materials, how it manages orders, how it manages quality, and how it manages its customers, we trust our customers will speak well of us and grow the business...that simple.
Thanks and look sharp for your NEW VT!!!
Enjoy!
