Does anyone else feel like these pouches are a bit too big for the knives? I think the quality of the new pouches is excellent (leather & stitching)...only that they are a bit too big for the knives and are a little less streamlined than the older pouches...thus, they occupy more space in my pocket and give me the feeling that the knife is "swimming" inside the pouch.

G2...if you're reading this I'd like your comments and would also like to know if you can make knife pouches for me as CRK has informed me that they do not have any of the older style pouches in stock...

Ron, I like those older cases too. Not only the color (light tan) but the size. They seemed to hug the knife perfectly. These new ones are beautiful, but they don't fit the knife like I want. Some people might have had trouble getting the knives out of the older ones. I wish CRK would offer either of them. I have 2 old ones that I keep a couple of "special" Sebbies in, but I would love to have another one to carry my others in. How about it Chris and Anne? Could you make a special run of the "old" style cases? I wouldn't mind having another small one for my Umfaan either.

Ron, I don't make the slip sheaths like they make,
must be they changed size because of the Wood Inlays?
I hand sew the sheaths I make, where these are
machine sewn, with the lighter weight leather that's
the way to go, hand sewn isn't as nice on that lighter
leather. I don't have a sewing machine so I guess I'm
out of the picture on this problem...sorry guys.

Thanks, Gary

The new pouch is even a bit big on my wood inlay.....

Guess I'll have to put an ad in the wanted forum....

Ron,

The way I see it, there really may be 2 schools of thought. Although the old pouches hug the knife better, the constant motion of pulling the knife out and putting it in could cause small scratches in the surface of the CGG or Unique models since they have a shinier finish. I have a small unique that has been around for a while. I do notice those fine scratches..

The newer pouches, being less constricting against the surface of the knife may indeed be treating it better to that degree.

It is all in the way you look at it..
