Sylvrfalcn said:Happy? Hmmmm. . . Yesterday I made a new knife. Had some Brazilian cherry wood laying around and wanted to give it a try and see if I liked it for knife handles. Dirt simple little knife, 4 1/2" spearpoint single edged blade, cherry handle slabs, brass rivets.
Today I was working on a little project out at a buddy's place. Used the knife to cut up a bunch of sisal rope, no problem. Needed to cut up a couple cardboard boxes, again no problem. This evening I decided to make a good sheath for the knife, so I used it to cut up some leather, you guessed it, still no problem. By now the little devil had my full attention. Gave it a few light licks on a leather strop, and the hair was practically jumping off my arm to get out of the dayumed thing's way. I reckon I'm pretty happy about that.![]()
