He has had more new designs to his name than all the kamis combined in months. ! Well, some I do not like personally but the R3 to R7 are just gorgeous. :):thumbup:

I am curious as in how did Raj come about joinning HI and what is his background and how did he come around with all those new designs ?

They all have very 'custom' looks to them. :)

It's my pleasure to write and introduce myself to you. I am Raj chhetri and residence at llitpur. I have 17 years of work experience. I start as a technical staff and promoted till manager. I did technical and sales works for 14 years in a reputed company of Nepal. That is AE group of companies. And 3 years in a Resort as a technical manager and resort manager own by a German guy. I had managed 46 staff and do technical thing. I used to do it myself because I want to be sure it was done correctly. Like sauna, solar panel, electric and electric generator and from carpentry to gardening. Everything was going good and my boss was 100% satisfied with my work. By it could not last long due to the situation in Nepal.

Because of Mr. Gelbu I had been to Birgorkha factory. Because of my technical knowledge it was easy to start with Knives. Knives are tools and weapon and I love Knives with different shape and size. So personally I see many space of improvement such as working condition, production control and quality control. Person working here are good worker, but lack of idea while finishing a product.

As you know work start from hammering, grinding, blade sharpening, sanding and buffing. Each stage is crucial for a good production. Hammernig and blade are okay, but grinding and sanding is always not the same? So I am trying out to solve the problem. I am also going through internet learning more technique and to teach our staff.

Mr. Gelbu has offered me to join with his work. So now it's almost a month we are working together. He also taught some of the technique about Knives checking and quality control. I assure you I will do my best here in Birgorkha and I will never let you and Mr. Gelbu to regret.

Besides my work I used to be a good hunter. It was on my teen days and Knives were to be our second weapon. So I just need purpose I am sure I can design can help this company on introducing variety of Knives.
So Didi I am sure you will consider me to do my needful job.

As a hunter, he'd have his own spin on knife-making we can relate to...

neat to hear him "talk" in his own words. Would be nice to hear from Kumar, Bura and Sher in a letter like that!

Thank you Raj as well, I have noticed that your designs are a little bit different from the usual HI line-up. Sort of like more 'international' ? Hence I'd mentioned the designs of yours looked like 'custom' blades. Keep up the good work ! :)
