OK.

Effective immediately, LaGana VTACs are available pursuant to the following program.

Retail and Wholesale Orders - Contact your favorite retail dealer or www.1SKS.com. 12Bravo/1SKS is our Master Distributor for the new VTAC only. Dealers must purchase the VTAC through 12Bravo/1SKS. All other models for retail and dealer customers can be ordered from American Tomahawk as usual. 1SKS is far better set up to handle the transaction volume and shipping particulars for our customers than us, again...on the VTAC only. Dealer backorders for VTACs currently with us will be filled by us immediately. Subsequent orders would need to be placed with 12Bravo/1SKS.

G.S.A. Contract Purchase – Contact Brigade Quartermasters at www.actiongear.com - Contract # GS-07F-0554N

U.S. GOV’T Purchase – Contact DLA/DSCP or info@americantomahawk.com

Inquiries and Questions – info@americantomahawk.com

I just want to make sure I am reading this correctly. If a private individual, like myself, wants to purchase the new and improved VTAC it can only be purchased from 1SKS and no other outlet. Not even ATC. Is that correct?

No...I apologize for not being clearer.

All of American Tomahawk's dealers will have the VTAC. They have to get it from 1SKS instead of American Tomahawk directly.

If you would like to make your retail purchase from 1SKS, that's fine.

If you would prefer to make your purchase with Brigade Quartermasters, 2TheHilt, BladeArt, Botach, or any other of our dealers, that's fine.

Our dealer customers have to get the VTAC through 12Bravo/1SKS.

American Tomahawk will not be accepting any more retail or dealer orders for the VTAC directly. We have determined that this is the best and fastest way to service all of our customers for this new and improved model.

From out of the East is a swirling cloud of dust coming from the land of the Soppranos and landing in the land of the Volcanos.
What can it be?

Why its ANDY PRISCO and the ATC.
Welcome to the Northwest Andy, hope it works well for you here.

Good to see ya still on this ^ side of the ground and still typing-away at your keyboard, Ron!.:D.

BTW...Andy has been here in OUR state for awhile now...Where have you been?.:).

Dann since I spend most of my time on Knifeforems.com I was not aware that Andy had moved here until I just deciced to take another look at Bladeforums.
I was thinking of going and visiting Andy at his shop but when I checked out how to get to Anderson Island then I figured it would be too long of a day for my body to get there and back.

Ron

Ron,

I know what you mean, but I'm going to HAVE TO make the boat trip out to the Island one of these days to pay a visit to Andy, as he invited me out there awhile ago to learn how to toss and fight with those cool ATC Tomahawks. (If I wasn't getting so old and decrepit myself, I'd carry you on my back so we could both make the trip :D.).

Dann, let me know when you might be able to make the trip and maybe I will be able to go along with you.

Ron :(

I ordered a LaGana VTAC in 2/05, and 1SKS has told me they still have not recieved shipment for domestic orders. Has anyone else had any similar (or different) experiences with purchasing this mythological tool/weapon?

...the VTAC hasn't achieved mythical status as yet, but I understand your point. ;)

1SKS is waiting patiently for us, period. None of our domestic retailers have the product in stock, as they are all sold out.

We are feverishly finishing them and hope to provide an update to our customers on the forums by Monday.

Thanks for hanging in there with us!

Any Updates..................?

I recieved an e-mail from Suzanne a couple days ago (in reguards to where I can order a VTAC, as Brigade Quartermasters canceled their order with ATC, which I had ordered on January 4, this year), and she said they would be in and would begin shipping in 6-8 weeks. I hope they do, but I've seen due dates change too many times to get excited about this one.

Andy, which Monday is it we should expect an update? I realize you folks are very busy. I'd be willing to come out from Poulsbo and willcall mine.......... ;) I hope all is well and I appreciate your dedication to Quality, and our Troops. I would just like to appreciate it first hand. Thanks

I ordered one Christmas Day - still no word. I have since moved on with an alternative, as I had to deploy. I believe software people call this "vapor-ware".

MonkeyPox,

What tool did you choose as an alternative? Just curious. I might want to look into it, if it fills the VTAC void.

All VTAC backorders are shipping mid to latter August.

After months of preparation and consultation with our supply chain, we have contracted to guarantee shelved inventory for military and commercial customers commencing September 2005. Our dealer customers, such as 1SKS, will likely never be placed in this kind of situation again.

It's been a hard road, but the internal changes we have made to effectuate this new level of performance will result in improved product availability, new product variations (color, features, materials) and improved accessibility by several markets.

My apologies to all our customers for this delay.

Thanks for the update Andy. I would have felt much more patient had I known you were implementing a new protocol for production. I am happy to read that my future purchases (first one for that matter) will be from this upgraded system. Best of wishes and fortune, and Happy Independence Day. :D
