I just gott an Email from leatherman, and they told me that the new 2013 leatherman surge will begin to ship out to dealers around mid october

Pardon my ignorance, but what sets the surge apart from the rest? Just curious as I am looking to replace my Leatherman Blast that I lost and am having a hard time telling how they all differ.

Hi.
I guess the main diference is the size and the tools. If you are going to buy a surge you should wait, if the replaceble wire cutters is something you need it also has a tighter t shank slot for jigsaw blades.
