Hi folks,

Not sure if I'm missing something but this probably have been discussed before. Could not find any further info on it.

I was comparing the new horse logos on the 3.5/4.0 against the 3.0.
Compared to its bigger brothers, the one on the 3.0 looks noticeably faint and was pretty hard to see in certain angles.
The 3.5 & 4.0 has a more defined, bolder finish.

Anyone had theirs like this as well?

Are you saying this based on pictures you have seen or are you comparing knives in hand? If the former, don't base too much on pics, the laser logos are hard to picture well. If the later, it may have depended more on Hinderer Knives getting to know the laser and refining their process, you can vary the "burn" time and go shallower/deeper as well as vary the color and it has little to do with the knife size.

Don't know about some being bolder or fainter... but I do know (knives in hand) that the logo on my older gen4 3.5 production Spanto Flipper is a bit larger than on the brand new one (same configuration) I just got this past weekend at the Monkey Muster. Not a big difference, but side by side definitely noticeable. As RDA said, figure it's just Hinderer refining the process.

Well, I took some photos of my own.
It may not be a good representation - But yeah, this logo is new and RHK will probably refine it down the line,
so I guess it'll be good to have consistency across all 3 models. Just my thoughts.

The one with the faint logo in question is 3.0" in the middle with a Duratech 20CV blade. The 3.5 & 4.0 are S35VN.
I'm not sure if there's a S35VN on a 3.0" ? or a Duratech markings on the 3.5/4.0 ??
If there is, it'll be great to chime a pic for comparison.

As Rich intimated, the slight variations may go away over time as the process evolves or perhaps not.
These are the aspects that contribute to the pride of owning something actually still "Made".
