The new member of family showed up today! Yaaay!

Bought my first tweener, a 17, from tkk and it came in today. I really love the size and feel of this knife! I'm kicking myself for not getting one earlier. Oh well. Ordered the micarta slabs with it so I threw those on after a RIT bath, stripped her down, and convexed the edge. Thats it for today, I don't what else I'll be doing in the mod dept. I'm really just more anxious to get it out and play with her.

The more I see these the more I think I'm gonna ditch my bk2 and order one from tomars

Don't count out the 2, even after you get a tweener. I took my 2 and 16 camping this past week and used the 2 the most. Yeah, I could have used the 16 for the same thing I used the 2 for but, its my 2, and I love it, LOL

Looks good with the RIT dye. Do the micarta scales change the balance at all?

I didn't have the stock scales on for more than a couple minutes so it's hard for me to say there is a difference. However the balance with the micarta is fantastic. This is a beautiful knife. I think I might pick up a 15 as well.

Thanks for the photo. I like my BK-17 also. Just might have to pick up those scales.
