Gang- At first, I was not crazy about the new, wider slot, pivot screw. Now, I like it and it just makes more sense.
Any input?

Hey Unc,

Can you explain? I guess I have not seen the new one. Can you fit a quarter in it to adjust?

Hey Nef!
The new Emerson pivot screw has a wider slot. A quarter is kinda tight. A dime or penny would work better.
Take a look the pic, I Have a Thing For CQC7s, here on the Emerson forum. You can see the diff.

I love it. Most people were going on about the finish and size...

Who cares...it's a tool. Emersons look slick with a little 'work' on them. But the fact that I can tighten/loosen things up with a dime, or money clip...keeps me happy.

Contact Ernest... NOW!^ :D
Thanks gang.
I always come back to the CQC7. And we know why.

I just noticed it today also. Was fooling around with the pivot of my 2012 Super Commander and then was going to mess with my 2010 CQC-10 and the screwdriver was too wide. I thought it was just the difference of a super vs. a normal until I saw your thread. I am curious as to why the change.

IIRC, the old pivots required a bit from a gunsmith set to be the correct thickness and width. At least I always had to use one if I wanted a perfect fit.
