The new Emerson pivot screw has a wider slot. A quarter is kinda tight. A dime or penny would work better.

I love it. Most people were going on about the finish and size...
Who cares...it's a tool. Emersons look slick with a little 'work' on them. But the fact that I can tighten/loosen things up with a dime, or money clip...keeps me happy.
I just noticed it today also. Was fooling around with the pivot of my 2012 Super Commander and then was going to mess with my 2010 CQC-10 and the screwdriver was too wide. I thought it was just the difference of a super vs. a normal until I saw your thread. I am curious as to why the change.
IIRC, the old pivots required a bit from a gunsmith set to be the correct thickness and width. At least I always had to use one if I wanted a perfect fit.
