After being down for almost two very long months, the new shop is finally finished  and I "moved in" yesterday. Later today after all the business paperwork is done I get to "make sparks" in my new home! My wife sure knows how to suck the fun out of building a new shop! She's right though, it's not ALL fun and games. Or is it?! ;)

I'd like to invite you all to take a look....

Have a great three day weekend all!!!

Very nice looking shop Wayne. Congrats on your new home!

Did you purposely pick white for everything? Seems like that might show more dirt/discoloration then other colors. Just curious.

Now go mess it up!

Thanks for the kudos on my new digs. Yes, I planned it that way from the beginning. However, it wasn't from a "designer" perspective. The reason is that you can never have enough light in a knife shop and I didn't want anything hanging down so I needed the white bench tops to reflect light up. My wife chimed in on the paint and as a result, the walls are actually a very light gray so the grinding dust doesn't show as much.

Take it easy!

That shop looks way too clean. Time to get it dirty.

When visiting your site I decided to check out the knives. I really like that walrus tusk bowie and the walrus ivory hunter with filework. You do very good work.

Nice setup , but curious why you staged the belt behind the grinder. Any concerns of belt contamination from the grit in the air ?

That is a heck of a setup. I have been planning to redo the interior of my shop , this gives me some ideas.

Thanks Mike.

Rob, Yes, it's great to be able to get back to work using a micrometer instead of a tape measure and a square! I've had two blades heat treated and waiting for handle material for almost two months. Finished one this morning and working on the other this afternoon.

Take care all.
