Congratulations to CLIMBER. . . excellent name!

All finalists will receive a $20.00 certificate from Busse Combat. These are good toward the purchase of any combat grade knife direct from the shop.

As to the rest of the entrants, this was by far the toughest decision on name choice we have had to make. Many of your names will be more appropriate for future models. . . . thanks again and keep on entering.

Hey Climber, great name.

Jerry, once again, thanks for the oppertunity to participate in the contest. I wont have too much of a problem finding a blade to spend my prize money on. The Satin Jack looks like a great addition to your knife line.

Climber,

Congrats!!

Can you tell of your thinking behind the name "Satin Jack"?

Was Jack a real person in your life?

Just curious,

Seth

Thanks, Seth!
i had a grandfather, step-G, actually, who lived without electricity all his life, out in Northern Cali~ north of you (Sierra Nevada foothills) named Jack O'Dell.
He was one tough character, but wiry (thin, like me, sort of). A Logger by profession & a gold-miner by "hobbie". i didn't ACTIVELY think of him at the time, (that i came up with that name) but it seems to fit now. He cut his own wood, lit his own wood-stove for cooking & heating, & enjoyed the outdoors far more than most of us "armchair outdoorsman" ever will experience. My step-brother who lives out there on that same property now by the Yuba River will probably get a chuckle (& a warm unidentifiable fuzziness in his heart) when i tell'm i won the tough all-around knife with the name: Satin Jack.
Thanks for inquiring, Seth.
Yours in Nuclear memories of a tough guy with a heart,
Clif

Boy, I don't see no SH in front of that.... ALSO look at the time period. Over a year after the end of the SH line....

Holy Crap !!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This thread only had 32 views since 2001..

Huh??? Apparently nobody cared .. :p

At least it was at the end of the contest. I bumped up a contest thread for naming the darn thing some of the potential names were :eek::eek:
Needless to say that got locked pretty fast, too confusing. To some....

Just like the ganza HOG tactics look at the date:rolleyes:

Don't lock this one please, this is interactive HOGistory!
