Bet ya never let that bk2 go. Its going to grow on you and you will finally know love. Its the best knife there is. Coming from the esee group this is a good synopsis. Its like the esee 5, with more ergonomic handles. Enjoy and stay awhile. Some of us are hilarious and interesting. The rest are along for the ride but own awesome knives....

haha its a fairly common story i was trying to decide which knife to buy the 5 or the bk2 through more research i decided on the 6 so i could pair it with the 3.... got my buddy to buy the bk2 (liked it better) so i decided to trade. i still love esees but just liked the kbar line up better, plus ive owned kabars since i was 6 (23 now). oh and i know you guys are hilarious ive been lurking on the becker forum since i joined and i gotta say this is the best part of BF's. i wanna get my BH # and etch it on the blade #138 if its not gone by the time i can recieve it ("we are 138" a misfits song ive loved since forever)

hows the shine on that two? looks a little dingy from the pics but that could just be clarity. 0000 steel wool gives a nice shine so does 1000 grit sandpaper and higher, or you could patina it. i recommend gun blue. superblue to be exact since i like em nice and dark almost black but without the friction from an expoxy coating. but its bad for food prep with the poisons and all. mustard and vinegar give a cool effect, as well as mango. or just use it and let it acquire its own unique patina. just my beer dizzy ramblings of course

im not too sure on the shine as of yet (get it tomorrow) but i did a mustard/apple cider vinegar patina on my 6 after i stripped it i liked it but i think im gonna blue the 2 (i like dark too) you got any pics of dark blued bk2s?

Here is superblue on a bk2 and an rtak 2. Both were stripped and sanded to 1500 then superblued with 3 coats.

ya ive seen the bk in the modified post i didnt realize that was the blue wow they look amazing YEP thats what im doing to mine when i get it! i cant wait

Sweet glad to hear you like it. Just a word of advice get some 0000 steel wool to buff out any marks you make in the blue from use or fingerprints etc. Other than that just follow the instructions on the bottle

alright cool i really appreciate the advice i got some 0000 out in the garage and ill have to go to the store tomorrow after i pick it up and before work...... and again than you very much, this is why i joined the site simply awesome.
