I got a condor bush lore when they first came out.. I was not pleased with it though.. it was way too thick for a scandi ground blade, the f&f where what you;d expect from a 25 dollar blade. and there was a lare unsarened ricasso at the bottom of the blade which I don't like.

However I've read a few reviews saying that the second generation bushlore, and mini bushlore, and the sapien are all great knives for the $$

does anyone have any feedback? of course pics are welcome.

Thanks.

I have a micarta bushlore I love it. Is it f&f as good as a expensive custom? well no but is it a great workhorse? heck ya. Heat treat f&f thickness(thinner) better(not flawless) grinds it is a different knife than the older model and I use it in the same size class and role as my bravo1 and at that much cheaper what is not to like.

The change in fit/finish as well as design from the 2010 to the 2011 version is like night and day. I really wasn't impressed with the over-thick, axe-like 2010 version, but the 2011 is WELL worth the money. The grind is still very slightly convex, but not so much as to make conversion to a true scandi difficult. The stock has been thinned to 1/8" and the edge extended to the base of the blade. It's sharpened on a jig now for increased consistency in the depth and angle of the grind. The Mini and micarta versions follow this form, and are quite excellent tools. Some folks have wondered if the extra cost of the micarta model is worth it, and I can tell you it really "makes" the knife, in my opinion.:thumbup:

42 speaks the truth :) I love my bushlore and actually find the convex/scandi love child works quite well I strop it to very sharp on wet dry paper and it holds a very nice edge. no disappointments. Buy one from baryonyx and hit the woods.
