Well BK&T fans, we have a new Becker! The BK&T COMBAT BOWIE was unvieled at the BLADESHOW last week, and it is simply awesome! Imagine a C/U7 on steriods......the blade is 9", its wider[1.85" from spine to the edge],and ground from thicker stock[ .210"]. We have improved shape for the extended butt, and since the blade is longer[and you can therefore exert more leverage] we have shorted the clipped point to make a more sturdy front end of the knife. The point is "pointy" enough to poke a hole in a 55 gal. drum, but strong enough to stand up to the leverage generated from that long blade.

It comes with a sheath just like the C/U7 sheath, just bigger:D

We plan to ship the first ones before the end of June, 2002.......

.....and its only $84.95 retail:eek:

Terrill Hoffman has the only pics taken of it so far, and as soon as he can get one to me, we will put it up on this thread....Terrill, if you read this, just go ahead and slap it up yourself!

Too sweet. Are the scales the same size as on the BK7? I need to know if I can order a second set of G10 slabs from Mr. Siegle.

Not a great pic of the knife...but it might help with the scale or size of the knife. This is Jerry Fisk checking the sharpness of the BK&T Combat Bowie during testing earlier this week at the hunting camp.

Can anyone post a side by side photo of the Combat Bowie and the Combat Utility knives?

Thanks,
Tom

ps. Who has some of the best prices on the Becker knives? Looking at the Companion, CU-7, and Combat Bowie or Brute.

I use Knifeworks.com, and have been 100% satisfied with their service and prices.

Looks Awesome! What is the "other" knife in the BK&T box next to Fisk??? Inquiring minds want to know!;) :p ;)

I got to handle this at Blade. All I can say is it looks to be yet another winner from Ethan and the Camillus crew. Can't wait to play with one.

Jeff

After testing (read abusing) the CU/7, I can't believe that Camillus is able to keep ANY blades in stock. I was dumbfounded how well this knife performed, especially against MUCH more expensive (and highly touted) blades.

As soon as they are in stock - count me in!

Edge geometry? Weight? Balance?

Damn sharp, light, balance right on for a knife of this type. The thing cut like crazy, sailed right through hanging rope and water filled cans. Great wood chopper, light and fast handling. Cant beat it for the price. We nicknamed it the BMK, cant remember what that stands for though! ;)

Well, at least I can use my birthday in July as a good excuse for this purchase. This looks like a whole lot of fun.:D

How I missed out on Camillus at Blade is beyond me, but that looks like another winner. I know the BK&T designs aren't heavily influenced by cosmetics, but that really is a good looking knife.

Q:
How far ahead of the choil does it balance, and are dealers already taking pre-orders?
