What a fantastic looking blade.

Hi guys -

Yea - I will have to have one of these too - so, up for me in the future, first my new JK defense tool, then a rule # 9, then comes the Potawatomi.

These will be beautiful in Burl with red liners (not that the originals weren't spectacular!).

Mack - I am almost wavering on getting the ebony for my R#9.......

best regards -

You sure won't regret getting the Ebony. Pictures don't do it justice. In person it is the perfect handle material.

That is beautiful. I'm glad to see you doing something a bit different. Or at least that looks like it is different than your normal blade/handle shape. Outstanding. Will you be offering choices of handle material?

Any of my handle materials will be available. Thanks goes to jds1 for designing this one.

I like it!

Just seeing the cut out I wasn't sure, but seeing the finished product- looks good. Blade shape reminds me of the Riverwoods Companion.

Nice photos Jeff.

I am going to have to get one of these, John. I'll contact you by email.

Hello beestokk, did you notice that I responded to your PM? I named this knife after my all-time favorite local trail in S/E MI. The Potawatomi is a wonderful 18 mile loop trail that I have had the pleasure to hike, run, ride and ski for the last three decades. It's close to home and offers great terrain variety over it's length as it wanders through the woods and around several lakes. It doesn't get much better around here! Thanks again for your compliment on the design. I REALLY like this knife!

Jeff

jds1 - sorry, yea i overlooked that! thanks for both replies. i'll have to check that trail out and see if it's reasonable to get to from over here. glad to hear the knife is working out for you. i posted up in the general forum about a good fixed blade for carving/whittling and someone actually cited this post and thought this blade would fit the bill nicely as well as EDC. good luck with it!

This model has been officially added to the 2011 JK Handmade Knives lineup.

I really like these orange handles I keep seeing. Thinking a Kep with it would be nice for deer season.
