The newest version of the 1911 Combat Survivor

After much experimentation the first two of the newest version of my hollow handle survival knife are complete and ready to go to their owners.

These are made with one piece construction, something I've been working on for a long time. I think these are probably the strongest knives I've ever built. I will know for sure after some testing.

I've saved this one out for baton testing to see how tough the knife is.
Lorien, while these knives have a whole lot of hand-making involved in them, they may be straddling the line between hand made and higher tech., please feel free to move this thread if you think it's more appropriate somewhere else.

I LOVE this project. You have such a variety of patterns in your library of output.

Keep them HERE. Looks great. LOTS of handwork.
 
Thanks you guys. Some will be coming your way later this year for some real pictures coop, along with the survival ulu.
 
I will probably end up with one of those to go with my OD Micarta Gen 1.....:D
