So I have my NMFSHCG and I love it, and I have the Scrapyard 13-11, and I love it. Honestly I'm pretty satisfied right now, so much so that the feeling of calm and tranquillity I get when I think about my knives is so foreign that it's almost unsettling. No desire to buy more INFI? That just won't do.
The question must be pondered still, "What would it take to get me to buy more INFI?"

One up the 13-11.
Katana and Gladius shaped knives are great, but a little lacking in practicality (and I still have a Scrapizashi). I want something more traditional, something as practical as the 13-11, but using INFI, and still with that usual (unusual?) Busse flair, not just another number in the basic series.

The closest thing I can think of to that would be a Bushwhacker MOAB. 3/16" thick, (maybe 5/32"?), 14" long (maybe more?), coated finish of course (or a limited offering in CF).
I don't think I'd go over $800 for one, but at $600 I'd probably get two, doubling up at $500 for sure.

Good idea? Yes? No? Expected price point? Your thoughts please.

Why not? I would love an INFI machete or another Zilla. Still not sure if I will go for the new SHBM because I don't think I'm a fan of the straight handle.

I would NEVER consider anything 5/32" thick as being practical, especially when you are talking about something that will be 14" long.....

To me, I would consider something practical would be anything between 1/8" - 3/16" thickness as I wouldn't want to carry (on my person) anything more than that.

5/32" is in between 1/8" and 3/16"

Thanks Al, just making sure my math was right. I was confused for a minute. Maybe a_c had 5/16" on the brain.

:thumbup:I would go for something like that! An Infichete in the 12" to 16" range with a clip point and penetrator tip:)

I certainly did, as I've been thinking a lot lately about 5/16" with the SHBM and all.

That being said, your specs for the BWMOAB are in line with what I am after.

Only thing I would change is that I'd only want a 12" blade @ 5/32" with a full convex grind, everything else sounds great to me.....

I dunno... I'm really loving my Res-C 1311. If they same thing was made of INFI I might jump... B13. no choil....?

I would be so in love with a 1311, or 1111 made with black or green canvas micarta. I could care less choil or not.

A magnum sized Kukri/Zilla would have me working the street corner to raise money in NO time flat...!!!!!!!!

:thumbup:MOABOLO! 3/16" 16" blade, 3" wide out near the tip, 2" at the ricasso.
Maybe sharpened up around a rounded tip
