Hey, I was bored at work today and got to thinking what will benchmade do next year for their -1 knife.. first was the 940-1, then the 484-1... what are your thoughts, suggestions, hopes?!

I know I'd love to see the 556-1!!

Much as I'd love to see the Ti scales of the 556 Gold Classes go into regular production, I doubt it'll happen because the griptilian is already part of the custom knife program and has lots of options as it is.

I'd love to see a 485-1 with the same treatment as the 940-1 and 484-1. Then again it just came out this year so I doubt that as well. I'd also love a 300-2 with CF, s90v, and some sort of independent detent added. Of course I'll always hold some hope in my heart for a 275-1 in canvas micarta and CPM 3V...

531-1 would be at the very top of my list. 531 form factor, with herringbone carbon fiber scales, stonewashed blade, and blue barrel spacers, like the previous -1 knives. So basically, the 531 with S90V blade steel, minus the $1,100.00 MSRP.

I like the 531-1 idea!! That would be a great weekend/office EDC!! Slim light but capable!!

I would love a 531-1 too, different color scales or carbon fiber with a higher grade blade steel. Even s30v would be nice.

Despite the fact that there have been numerous iterations of the 710 , I'd like to see more. A CF/S90V combo would be nice. But there are other combos I'd rather see on a limited edition 710.

That's a hard one. So many versions of the 710, Barrage, 530 (in its original 440C format), and many others. I love the Ares, and yes they've come out in limited offerings too. I would still love to see a production version of this gem of a Benchmade; make it a 730-1, in G10 (maybe a dark gray with satin stonewashed M390?) and silver fittings. I WOULD buy one of these.
