All,

I've been pretty absent the last week or so. The reason is that I became a Dad last Thursday!

Please find below a couple pics of Miles Leo Mendelson-Delage, born in the Swedish Hospital of Seattle last week. Mom and kiddo are doing fine, Mom and Dad find it tough to live normal lives with 4 hrs of sleep per night - but we're still extatic.

Cheers!

Joss

Terrific-looking kid! You're a lucky guy.

My daughter just turned 18 yrs...I can still recall how great those early years were (but don't get me wrong, they're still great).

I think I've done some pretty interesting things in my life...but the coolest thing I ever did, by far, was having a child.

Enjoy this time...He'll grow up faster than you can believe!

Congrats, Joss, he really is a good looking baby. He'll be pawing your Foggs before you know it... :D

Fantastic! What a healthy and handsome boy.

My very best to you and your wife, for the most satisfying years to come!

Congrats Joss, while I cringe at the sight of most babies... Yours made me smile.

Congrats, My son turned 1 last month. We were pretty sleep deprived for a while, but you get over it. The best thing is when they fall asleep on your chest, it is a great feeling. Enjoy they grow up so fast (I can't believe my DD is 4 1/2). Steven

Congratulations, Joss! Thanks for sharing the news and the pictures.

After 3 kids and 25 years of marriage I have one bit of advice that I know will serve you well. Read and study about how to parent properly. Parenting know-how is not hard-wired into us humans (men or women). Incredibly, millions of parents apparently believe otherwise. The results are painfully obvious all around us.

There are many sources for credible, practical information. Here's a good one that has helped many people, including me and my family: www.loveandlogic.com

Parenting is hands down the hardest thing you will ever try to do. Accepting that you don't know squat about how to do it well is exactly the right place to start.

Good luck and best wishes!
