The next Great swordsmith has arrived

I had the pleasure of handling several of Bailey's swords at Blade. As beautiful as they were, what really impressed was the feel of these blades in the hand - a heady blend of power and speed that filled me with all kinds of delusions of grandeur. ;) Most impressive. And extremely reasonably priced given the evident quality of the workmanship.

I would love to make swords like Bailey, but I don't have much hair left now. I'm sure I would pull the rest of it out. Its hard enough to make a 10" or 12" blade come out straight. Bailey's swords are so straight and true, its hard to imagine making one as nice. He gets my vote.

I saw Bailey Bradshaw's swords at the blade show, I didn't have a chance to handle them, but they were a sight to behold!

I had the privilidge of taking my basic bladesmithing class with Bailey, and visited his shop since then. It's amazing to watch him work. The metal seems to run from his hammer. He is truly a master.

Until now I’d never thought about swords. Great, another thing to melt the credit card.

Thanks Chris for posting the thread. Great to hear from you too, When you coming back up?

Thanks to everyone else for the compliments. There is still a lot for me to learn on these swords, let alone knives in general. I just have fun making them.

Just so happens the katana pictured here is available. My customer had to back out due to that disease we have all had called Lackafundsa. It can be acute. :p

hey Bailey...i still waiting fo the one you offered me (Katana in Tux) if that one doesn't pull thru i'd like to take first dibs on this one, also. let me know, please. you got my email. :D

No thanks needed Bailey, work like that deserves to be drooled over again and again. I'd like to come visit sometime this summer, while the kids are out of school, and watch you make some of the fittings for these swords.
