I know this is getting a bit rediculous, but I love these passarounds and I think they are a great way for everyone to try different knives.

What should the next one be? I was thinking something a little more unusual, like a HI Khukuri (cheap) or a Criswell sword (expensive). What do you think?

I vote for another folder myself. But you know I am in no matter what!! I will win one of these damn raffles:)

One thing to keep in mind with swords. I have shipped quite a few of them priority mail, inssured with delivery confirmation. Your looking at about $16 s/h .

Yea, I know a sword would be expensive to ship, but it would still be cool! :D

BTW, what folder specifically?

Don't get me wrong. A sword will be cool. I am not sure how much use people would be able to get out of it in the week passaround, but it would be great to win.

As for a specific folder Hmmmm Maybe an expensive William Henry or a CRK Mnandi are a couple of ideas. Like I said, what ever generates the most intrest so we can get it off the ground sounds good to me.

Good suggestions Dave, but if we are going to get a Prinsloo, then it should be pretty too! You should have seen his stuff at the Vegas show!

Of course, if it was pretty, then no one would use it! hehe

I like all of DaveH's Ideas. No matter what is choosen, it sounds like we are going to have a nice one:)

I'll make an observation, the SNG signup went much faster and better than the Green Beret signup. I think that's because the SNG has more pizzaz.

SO I would say that whatever they next thing is it should have enough pizzaz to get people to signup quickly and get there money in.

Right. It has to have enough draw to get people to join up. I would think the Criswell would, but maybe others wouldn't agree...

Oh, another thing, if there needs to be more than 10 people signup due to price, how would the lottery thing work?

Or would there always be 10 or less?

A folder most likely. I do like fixed blades and swords but I would have little chance to use one. The fixed blades are reserved for camping which I may do a few times each year. The sword would make a nice wall hanger :D

I plan on staying under ten for time reasons, so I shouldn't have to worry about the lottery.

If I did go over ten, we could have everyone pick a number between 1 and 100 and then the first one to show up in a given lottery would win.

I would really love to see a 15" AK HI Khukuri. They are relatively inexpensive, but tough as nails. That is about the only one on the list that I really want to try before I decide if I want one or not. I imagine that you would get 10 people rather quickly due to the low entry fee.

Mike
