Just got home from work, and the BK9 was in the mail box. Man, what a freakin' beast this thing is. Love the blade length, with the swedge and thumb ramp. Can't wait to get out and get my new blades initiated. I bought these to use. I do like the feel of the BK2 in my hand a little better. I mean as far as the thicker blade making the handle bigger. But the nine fits just fine. ;) I wish the photo's were better, but it was kinda dark in my room here.

Ah, the beast arrived:

Well, the sun sorta came out, so I took a few more:

Much to my surprise, although a tight fit, an Altoids tin fit in the sheath pocket:

When I get this thing out in the woods, I'll take better photos, and do a working review of it. I'm also going to do a comparison against a hatchet for chopping, etc. I'm loving this thing man. Wife is even impressed with it. Good wife.

Why does the BK2 look so clean

Congrats on the BK9.

Thanks. I haven't gotten a chance to get out and use them yet. The weather has been crappy here. I get laid off tomorrow, which absolutely sucks, but it will give me more blade time. ;)

You seem kind of excited The Warrior. LOL

Great pics BTW. Get out there and get 'em dirty and your photography skills will improve exponentially though! LOL

I am excited, lol. Gonna take the son out and put them to good use. Many photos will be forthcoming.

nice score man. !!

if those are 'bad' pictures I can't wait to see your 'good' ones...:)

cut some 1/16" plastic liners to put between the scales on the 9 and you'll have the feel of a bk2..

Man! You're so lucky your wife likes knives. Recently every time a box shows up at my door step my wife 'what the hell did you buy now?'

She doesn't believe me when I say I'm just borrowing it for a little bit. HAHAHA Or that I got 'em for free from the contests here on the board.

Oh well. Congrats on the 9er! Those are some bigs knives.

OK...ill admit it. After reading the title the first thing that popped into my mind was the song "The Girl Is Mine" by McCartney and Jackson :D

Congrats! The 9 is a beastly beast! I LOVE MINE

The '9 was my first Becker. Picked it up from our very own JV3 (thanks, Jay!) and love it. Hell of a blade. Now I want to go outside and play. I don't think my neighbors would appreciate me outside chopping that tree outside my apartment. Might scare the children. Then again.. maybe not, these days. :D

I love taking photos. Wanna take some good ones outside, where these knives belong. I thought about doing the liner thing. I also thought about wrapping it in some 550.

Great photos. The nine looks positively regal.
Thanks, much appreciated.

I have the best wife on the planet. Supports me no matter what. I asked her what she thought about me getting it, and she was all over it support wise. Good wife. Gonna get her a 14. She'll love it.

I can't wait to get outside with it. I def bought these knives to use. The BK line screams to be used, just by looking at them.

That is one heck of a pair of knives!

Thanks. Really like them. Gonna get a pair of 14's next.
Dem some nice Beckers yaa got der! N goot photo skills too.

Congrats!
Thanks, appreciated.

I told you it would be worth it when it arrived. Now the fun begins! Chop safe!

Ethan always said, the BK9 was as close to a short sword he's ever made. I love mine, and I'll be honest guys, if I could only choose a knife to have in a tough spot, the bigger the better IMO. You can do more work faster with a big knife.

I love my BK2, it is my "The Knife", but the 9 is a close second for best woods knife around.

Good score brother, and great pics.

Nice! The BK2 and BK9 make a great combo.
Thanks, appreciated.

Hell yes, you were right. Gonna be a chopping fool when I get a chance.

Thanks. I agree, the bigger the better. But I think I would take my BK2 if I were only to take one.
