I don't post that much, but if it's worth I do !
These shoes rock ! BIG TIME.
One of my "hobby's" is running, on all sorts of ground.
I like to do an "all-in-one" run, starting on my doorstep, then the street, further on into the grass, to the nearby forest and ending at the side of the nearby main road on a gravel path.

I tries Nike, Reebok and Puma professional running shoes but they all gave up on one or another underground. Lifetime was also very limited as I don't stop for mud, water or worse...

My average run is about 15-20 Miles, in rain or sun..

Now I found the perfect all-round-runner :

One of The North Face family, the hegdehog XCR with Goretex and Vibram sole :

Vibram® Mikeno Outsole
Streamlined, ultralightweight, waterproof, breathable, Gore -Tex® XCR® low-cut with exclusive Vibram® outsole, designed for fast-paced outdoor activities.
Gore -Tex® XCR® waterproof, breathable membrane
Abrasion-resistant, bomber synthetic nubuck and waterproof, breathable sandwich mesh upper
Gusseted tongue
AgION™ anti-microbial X-2™ footbed
Compression-molded, lightweight EVA midsole
Heel X-2™ O2 air pod
Injection-molded TPU shank plate
Exclusive, lightweight Vibram® rubber outsole

This shoe has now done more then 400+ miles on my feet and still looks as new !
No pain, no sweat, no wet feet, no nothing.

I must add that I also use a special formed sole, that is made by a specialised shop here in Belgium that "create" the perfect sole custom-made and moulded for my foot.

Wow you run more in a day than I do in two months, Hmmmm maybe I should get out there and exercise. Good for you, I'm glad that you found the perfect shoe and thanks for telling us about it.

Nice. How does the GTX work in the warmer weather? Looks like a good off-road shoe.

Gore-Tex XCR is a newer generation membrane from the company that is supposed to be more breathable than the original. So far, I've only seen it featured in all-terrain running shoes like the ones described above.

I have a pair of merrel hikers with it and it is still considerably warmer than pure mesh. For as breathable as all forms of gore-tex claim to be I am still unimpressed. They are totally waterproff though!

I wear Salomon X-A Pros when I run off-road/adventure race because they are highly breathable. Your feet get wet, but dry quickly as well. I figure my feet are getting wet no matter what anyways.

Man, I wish I had those back when I ran trails. No wonder my feet bother me now! They look like they could take on any terrain.
